James while the hype around QF's Dreamliner was quite high it was also that they were introducing a brand new premium economy product onboard and mainly the fact that it is one of the longest flights in the world and the first between Australian and Europe and I live in Perth so the hype here as been very extensive and exciting though. Also even more complex is that QF flies a 737 to Singapore from Perth though its temporarily switching to an A330 so a lot of different QF aircraft in HKG and SIN

James. I’ve just been looking at award availability from BNE / SYD etc to HKG and even in (AU) school holidays it’s wide open due to VA competition. In fact as you have previously pointed out it’s way cheaper to fly to HK than most AU domestic routes. Which is ridiculous!
It appears the QF127/QF128 First Class HKG--SYD-HKG space is phantom. I've tried to book several dates and aa.com errors out and the phone agents in US and AU both say it isn't available. Anyone else have any luck?
