I don’t think anyone at AA knows how to spell “mother of pearl”.
I get the novelty but the thing is, personally I’m not that interested in eating dated food from back in the day. Shrimp cocktail? Waldorf salad? Beef Wellington? Maybe my parents would be into that? (And I’m in my 40s!)
I think beef Wellington may be a bit to ambitious. You have to crawl before you walk and sounds like AA is trying to run.
It's not easy to get the perfect flaky pastry at home so I'm not too confident AA will be able to do it on a plane. The caviar sounds good tho
AA has to be given credit for trying to do a menu refresh and splash for its 100th but the sheer cost of battling UA at ORD is going to limit AA's ability to invest in its product

All these comments prove is that no matter what American does, you guys poopoo it. Dont say "were rooting for american" when you guys find faults with EVERYTHING. its exhausting.
As someone booked in AA TATL business in early April, I'll certainly enjoy the caviar, but feels like a bit of an expanded test run for when they market the flagship suite preferred as a segmented product. I'm sure we'll get some survey asking for feedback on the meals.

Admit it, Tim. Delta could’ve done caviar for its 100, but didn’t think to do so. (I liked the outfits through the decades safety video tho.)
On a 789p transpacific in business in March. Pre-order options do not include anniversary meals. High class problems, but can't claim to be a premium airline when you can't even offer the meals you said you'd be offering.
