There's no denying that one of the biggest challenges that American & US Airways face with their integration is on the technology front. So does this explain why i can't find any AA first class award availability between the US and EZE in feb 2015? Does it not exist?

I think the tier point calculator is wrong for your example, as it's usually 40 points for even the shortest of business class flights. I think where this hurts the most is that currently discounted US economy is earning 20 points instead of 10, which will be corrected when this changes.

@ David -- No, that's completely unrelated. American is generally stingy with longhaul award space, so that would be why. Has nothing to do with this.

@Lucky - Quite stingy seems to be an understatement. Isnt it ridiculous that they have zero availability in saver First or business between the US and EZE for months? How do they get away with this? Very frustrating...

Thanks for this post.

Has this happened yet? I cannot see evidence of it on the BA website...

Hi Lucky--I'd echo James question...I just looked up a flight from ASE to LAX in March and it is still 3x economy for the biz/first class cabin rather than 2x. Any word on when IT will get around to fixing this given the policy supposedly changed almost a week ago?

@ Mark -- Correct, for domestic flights it will continue to be 3x the price.
