I'll take "things which have no chance in hell of happening" for $100, Alex.

I am very much against this. Not just that, but if they were to go ahead with it the sum should be no higher than the lowest basic economy fare available.

Hmmm don’t like this idea. And need not forget that American is struggling. Again.

How about all of the other struggling US industries that are getting left behind with no help.

Possibly CARES will be extended from October-December but I don’t know how much longer.

Republicans are self enriching, and unless they benefit deeply from a stimulus bill (such as votes or they make money); they could care less about others.

Here in NY, we feel that a monthly stimulus check would be the best solution for citizens, as they do in Canada.

States too need federal aid. Don’t forgot that NY pays the highest federal taxes in the nation, yet Moscow Mitch in Kentucky revives the 3rd highest amount of money from the government for his state. No coincidence.

Mediocre article , Govt should support the airlines and related jobs by providing 8 to 10 BN at very low interest rates.
What govt would do with the money if there are no people

I look at my young grand kids and think about the timebomb we are leaving them. This unfettered government spending, on all things, is not sustainable.

Under SEATS, the government would purchase enough seats on each flight to eliminate the need for any passenger to sit next to a stranger...

ahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

You American Airlines pilots are a funny group... Zing!

That's fine and ok with me if the government is also willing to pay restaurants for empty tables due to social distancing! I think it may be time to re-regulate this industry! The government is basically broke and CANNOT afford to pay for middle seats! Sorry!

Would be nice if we had a high speed train infrastructure as an alternative to air travel, particularly over shorter distances, like LA to Vegas, and intra-Texas.

No frappen way! I, along with millions of customers, can't get a refund for unused, paid for, reservations? We're hanging on to vouchers we'll probably never use! And after nickel and dimeing customers for billions of $$$ over the past few years, NOW they want the taxpayers to cough up even more?! Greedy SOBs ... when does it end?

Are you kidding me? First they cram us in like sardines, and now they want us to pay to de-cram ourselves so we don't die of COVID? They can go f' themselves.

Total insane proposal, and a resounding NO !
Middle seats empty, charge what you need to.
Some will survive, others won't.
Life.
