Alaska now requires 75k miles (AS or partners or combined) to qualify for MVP Gold 75k status. There's no longer points difference between AS miles and partner miles.
Sadly, the places with the best Oneworld F lounges, also seem the least likely to open any time soon.
Do you mean through 2022? If you get status this year, it will be good through the following year. In 2023, you'll have whatever status you earned in 2022.
Yes. So what is my strategy for next year as PP ? If Asia doesn’t re open it won’t matter. I think main cabin extra ultra long haul will be less tiring if you throw these fancy lounges into the equation as PP. and if in fact Asia does reopen will there be a sub $600 RT price point that isn’t basic economy and eligible for earning EQM, EQD, etc.
So does this mean that Plat Pros get access to Flagship Check-in (on eligible itineraries) and the free drink/food item (when that returns)?
I just made platinum pro on my last flight and needless to say I am beyond excited! I should be able to make executive this year because most likely in 2023 I’ll be back to gold. So looking to enjoying all the benefits as long as I can!!
FYI I tried to use the BA 1st Class Lounge at LHR Terminal 5 on 5/14/2022 and was denied entry. The employee showed me their screens and their systems still show Platinum Pro as OneWorld Sapphire. I showed my AA card with the OneWorld Emerald mark and my boarding pass with Emerald designation and they still weren't convinced. Super annoying that their systems are still not updated given that the change happened in June 2021!
