Now enjoy. I looked at Tahiti and a few islands incl Bora2 last month. For those who do not have access to the crazy US credit cards the price is not worth it.
For two people flying BC from Asia, staying in 5* resorts I stopped planning when I reached $35.000. This was for a 18d trip. For that amount of money I can do a whole lot of other exciting trips. I could have shaved off about $6000 doing part of the flights on miles but Air NZ are total suckers in terms of award release so AKL-PPT would have to be paid anyway.
Is it me or does the old seats seem better? Sure they're angled, but they look a lot nicer and more wide than the new seats. The new seats just strikes me as hideous.
Too bad they did not opt for a more modern product not something on it's way out on carriers such as United.
@James - Would you mind sharing what you consider a modern product that meets the needs of TN’s market/s?
Do any of the window rows look like they have extra leg space? Or for that matter, less space?
Considering this product will be around for atleast 10+years (TN A340s have original seats from late 1990s still), it is indeed disappointing they opted for a product that is already 10-years old, and as previously stated on the way out at some carriers like United.
While they certainly don't need to go out and offer a fancy enclosed suite product, something more modern while still prettu dense such as the Hawaiian Air, El Al, or even the new UA Polaris product. Heck if they want something older could have gone with the very well received reverse herringbone used by likes of CX, AA, etc.
