As noted in your Rakuten screenshot, ticket purchases only earn 1%. It’s resale tickets that earn 3%. So I’d value the AA mile and LP more on standard event tickets as somebody pursuing AA status. For resale tickets obviously Rakuten is a much better return.
I have been doing this with Delta for a while but would much prefer to get AA miles over Delta miles.
You can go to StubHub or VividSeats thru the American Aadvantage shopping portal and get 3 loyalty points per $1 instead of just the one. I'm going to keep doing that.
