I guess we will see that E170 / E175 / E190 / E195 will change to B170 / B175 / B190 / B195 ?
Did they respond to the Airbus Bombardier deal or did they already started talking to Embraer early on and that's why they tried to block the C Series? They complained the C Series was heavily subsidized but isn't Embraer totally govenment owned?
I don't fly these aircraft often but if I see a flight on an Embraer aircraft I generally do everything I can to avoid it.
Is this a case where Boeing is getting the inferior product (at least for passenger comfort) but then will try to make it sound like it is an American product and try to sway airlines (at least those in the US) to buy Embraer? In which case the passenger is the loser?
Or does Boeing get access to cheaper labor?
As mentioned above I'm just wondering how this affects the passenger (who seems to lose out in most situations of late).
@rich I’d take an E175 or E190 over any other regional jet. Hell, I’d prefer it over a 737 or A319 honestly. Seats are better. Only inferior part of the experience is the absence of seatback power.

Embraer is funny. As a lot of you mentioned, their E-Jet series is probably the best regional aircraft around. However, at my tiny little local airport, we only get year-round service with ERJ-series aircraft. Man, those airplanes are tiigghht. I imagine @rich is in a similar situation. I would also avoid flying them if I had the option.
Yeah, as I mentioned I rarely have flown them but when I did it sucked. But as others pointed out I must have flown erj. I used to ski a lot but its been a while since I have done so. Thanks.
The Embraer e-jets are far superior than any Boeing, Airbus or Bombardier. Flew on one yesterday. For the pax experience in coach is fantastic.
Too bad Embraer stake will be only 20%.
The thing I do like about the ERJ's is when traveling alone, I can get a seat that is both a window and aisle. Have cake, eat cake.
