The Air France-KLM Flying Blue program has its monthly Promo Rewards promotion, whereby members can save 25% on select award tickets over a limited travel period. The program has just published its new Promo Rewards list for July 2026, offering discounted short haul and long haul awards for travel over the coming months.

45K for JFK-CDG in J with AF is a steal, if you can actually find availability… easy 1:1 transfers from most bank programs, too; no excise fees with Amex, thankfully, too. I really like FB, when it works out!
There's also Bangkok and India available in business this month, I think that's a much better deal than the ones listed in the article. Also, some domestic longhauls are available in premium economy (FDF, PTP), as well as SXM.
There's some pretty good deals from Syd-Sin in QF premium economy into early next year. 33k airmiles for an 8 hour flight is pretty good going.

They were in previous monthly promo - check date on the comment from 1990. Apparently Ben kept the comments from last month's promos on here.

@ Tom -- Sorry, I might be missing something, but where did I incorrectly mention JFK? I added it as an economy option on Air France, and that is on the August list, unless I'm missing something?
Airlines have a new deal : spend money for something "free" , and then spend money for something not-free . This way you are privileged to spend money twice , and thereby get something for not-free .
Flying Blue promo awards are much less attractive for the following two reasons:
1. Starting 9/8, promo awards will be mapped to the "Light" category, meaning that your award tickets will be subject to all sorts of restrictions, including no lounge access, no seat selection, absolutely no cancellation, etc. unless you're Flying Blue Platinum elite or above.
2. Flying Blue have significantly increased carrier-imposed surcharges recently.
There are deals if you do a lot of data scraping. I found Canada to Paris to Rome for under 45K on AF J. Not bad, it was like 34K with an Amex 30% bonus. Tough to beat... After Sept 8 it won't be nearly as much fun...A big question is will a AF light J award allow access to the Delta On lounge in JFK?
Other "high profile" blogs (US/UK/Germany) are much more fair and transparent when it comes to the monthly promo awards :
-they remind the huge overnight devaluation last January 2025, devaluation without any notice
-they highlight the fact that you need to pay more to access some of them (another hidden devaluation), the so called "Extra"
-they mention that availability is often scarce. In fact, for long-haul in business, it's often close to non existent. Saigon in Business at 63.750? 3 dates from Sept to Feb. Over 6 months/180 days there are 3 dates available at the advertised rate !!! Santiago? 4 dates in September then nothing for the following 5 months. Hanoi, Na-da ! What a joke ! As a reminder, FB tried to sell last year devaluation by promising there would be more availability.
OMAAT keeps presenting FB very very favourably months after months (see the recent post regarding the devaluation),including the Promo Awards, starting with the "I'm a big fan" line. It's an opinion. Fine. But Ben even promotes the Extra awards as a "perk" ("on the top of that, you even have access to...") while in fact, it is a another devaluation, since we have to pay more money to access some promo awards.
The 1st time I read it, I just thought he was playing the Flying Blue marketing road map.
But devaluation after devaluation this undermines the overall credibility of the blog. And makes wonder about the real motivations. Big fan? Where is the disclaimer for affiliated post?
