@ Lucky - I know you always like to stay on EST so when you have a daytime flight such as this and it is not daytime in EST, how do you handle it? Do you just pre-load all your work or just have really long days when you arrive?
$1000 for such a long flight, i'd not expect more than that. Seems ok, considering the cheap fare.
Lucky rather than wasting time and money flying these obscure airlines that none of us will ever fly, why not pick the worlds 5 best ranked premium economy products and fly and compare them? Youre running out of obscure airlines anyway.

@turgutbey - Correct, the ex-CO 764s are in a 2-1-2 configuration. Additionally, the 763s that were original UA, not CO, are being converted from 3-class to 2-class with the same seats as the 764s.
@Lucky, given your desire to fly new business class products and since you've flown a number of Chinese carriers recently, have you thought about flying Capital Airlines ( https://intl.jdair.net). It's a subsidiary of HNA (parent of Hainan Airlines) and has some pretty interesting routes!

Minor correction, the 2-class sUA 763 are being converted to United Polaris 1-1-1 configuration, same seats as UA 77W.
Back in the day MIAT used to be known as "Maybe I Arrive Today" ... seems like you did well. Wondering how the Berlin / Ulaanbaatar flights are and if catering is better ... due to East Germany's historic relationship with Mongolia it used to have a decent-sized Mongolian population.

$1,000 for an 8 hour business class flight isn't "cheap"... You can buy NYC to LAX (6 hours or so) business class seats in the US for less, and you get a lie flat seat, better meals and wine, etc. Same with flights from LHR to the East Coast of the US.
