One of the best thing about booking revenue tickets on British Airways is that there are two great discount offers out there, which can be stacked:
- A 10% discount on revenue British Airways tickets for those with the the British Airways Visa Signature® Card
- A $65-400 discount per revenue British Airways ticket ($65 for economy, $130 for premium economy, or $400 for business/first class) for AARP members
AARP discount for BA flights
Obviously this is useful when booking revenue economy tickets, since you can get both $65 off, plus a 10% discount.
But beyond that I’ve also found it useful for discounted business class tickets. Lately we’ve seen several sub-$2,000 roundtrip business class tickets between the US and Europe, so when you get both $400 off and a 10% discount, you’re looking at some crazy good prices.

As you might expect, both of these offers have expiration dates. The AARP discount was supposed to expire October 31, 2014, though was extended through October 31, 2015.
Meanwhile the 10% discount offered in conjunction with the British Airways Visa was set to expire December 31, 2014. A lot of people were worried it wouldn’t be extended, though I predicted it would be, as it has been in past years.
As expected, the British Airways Visa 10% discount has been extended through December 31, 2015. As a reminder, just use promotion code CHASEBA10 at the time of booking.
