For those of you not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program available through most American Express cards, where different cards are eligible for different savings and bonus offers. In many cases the offers can be huge, and more than offset the annual fee on a card.
To view Amex Offers, go to the bottom of the account summary page of any American Express card, where you’ll see all the offers you’re eligible for. These offers come in different forms, including discounts and even in some cases bonus points.
Earn Bonus Points Or Save With Best Western
At the moment there’s a new targeted Amex Offer for 2,000 bonus Membership Rewards points when you spend at least $100 with Best Western.
The offer is valid if you register and pay for your stay between September 25 and November 25, 2019 (the stay could fall on dates outside that window, as long as it’s a pre-paid rate that’s charged during the promotion period).
Stays at Best Western branded properties in the US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands are eligible. Eligible brands include Best Western, Best Western Plus, Best Western Premier, Executive Residency by Best Western, BW Signature Collection, BW Premier Collection, SureStay, SureStay Plus, SureStay Collection, Vib, GLō, Sadie, and Aiden.
There’s another version of this offer available on some other Amex cards. That offer is for $20 back when you spend at least $100.
Personally I value Membership Rewards points at ~1.7 cents each, so if I had access to both offers, I’d definitely select the former. That’s because I value the 2,000 bonus at $34, which is significantly better than the $20 return offered with the statement credit offer.
Given that many Best Western properties are quite inexpensive to begin with, this is a very nice return.
Stack This With Best Western’s Free Night Promo
Keep in mind that Best Western has a promotion at the moment offering a free night after staying for two nights between September 16 and November 17, 2019. That in and of itself is a lucrative promotion, but when you stack the two, you’re looking at quite a return on your Best Western spending.
Were you targeted for this Amex Offers promotion, and if so, do you plan on taking advantage of it?
