Awesome: Qatar Airways & Accor Add Reciprocal Loyalty Perks

13

It’s not unusual to see airlines and hotels partner, given that those who are frequent flyers are also more likely to be frequent hotel guests. While Qatar Airways and Accor have had a partnership for years, the two companies have just taken that cooperation to the next level, and it’s kind of awesome.

Qatar Airways & Accor partnership details

Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Accor Live Limitless (ALL) have announced an enhancement to their partnership. With this, it’ll be possible for members of either loyalty program to double dip with earning points, and to also take advantage of reciprocal points earning opportunities.

Reciprocal points earning opportunities

Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Accor Live Limitless members will receive reciprocal points earning opportunities when linking their accounts:

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn one Avios per €1 spent with Accor at participating brands, alongside the usual ALL Rewards points
  • Accor Live Limitless members can earn one ALL Reward point for every $2 spent on eligible Qatar Airways flights, alongside the usual Qatar Airways Avios
Earn Qatar Airways Avios for Accor stays

Reciprocal elite status opportunities

Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Accor Live Limitless will offer reciprocal status fast track opportunities.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club elite members can have their status with Accor Live Limitless upgraded after one hotel stay:

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold members will get Accor Live Limitless Silver status
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum members will get Accor Live Limitless Gold status

Meanwhile Accor Live Limitless members can have their status with Qatar Airways Privilege Club upgraded after one eligible flight:

  • Accor Live Limitless Gold members will get Qatar Airways Privilege Club Silver status
  • Accor Live Limitless Platinum members will get Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold status
  • Accor Live Limitless Diamond members will get Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum status

Note that this is a one-time status fast track. With Qatar Airways Privilege Club, the status fast track is valid for 12 months, while with Accor Live Limitless the status fast track is valid for the calendar year in which it’s earned, and the following calendar year. After that you’ll have to renew based on the published criteria.

This is a great collaboration

This strategic partnership between Qatar Airways and Accor is pretty great, if you ask me. For one, you’ll be able to double dip with earning points on an ongoing basis, which is always a nice reward for loyal members of both programs. It makes travel with either brand more lucrative.

The reciprocal status opportunities are especially valuable. For example, top-tier Accor Live Limitless members can get top-tier status with Qatar Airways Privilege Club after just one flight, which will come with oneworld Emerald perks. That makes me wish I were an Accor Live Limitless Diamond member!

Enjoy oneworld Emerald perks with Qatar Airways

Bottom line

Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Accor Live Limitless are rolling out reciprocal loyalty perks, including the ability to double dip with earning points, plus the ability to get a status fast track with the other brand. This is a very nice collaboration, arguably even better than the one between American AAdvantage and World of Hyatt.

What do you make of this Qatar Airways and Accor partnership?

Accor Live Limitless status is the same as Accor Plus status but AccorPlus members are not often mentioned in these offers. They are basically the same programs but Accor Plus has a membership. Accor frequently gives citizens of some countries some additional perks while other citzenships receive no benefits or perks.

Does that also apply to the Accor status that you get with buying one share?

If im not mistaken its 50 shares one must own to get Accor Status... current share price is hovering around 20usd

    Hmm,
I might wait until the new year to do this so I get closer to 24 months of Accor Gold rather than just 15 months if I do it now.

Same amazing deal available with Qantas and Accor Live limitless (ALL). Not sure if the status match is still available, but the double dipping of points is. With Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Swissotel and So brands included plus so many others....this is an awesome opportunity particularly in Australia, NZ and Asia.

    hola,
tengo tarjetas de ambas empresas (Accor y Qatar) ke suman millas/puntos.
Para obtener los beneficios nuevos- es necesario vincular ambas tarjetas de alguna manera????

Made me regret not doing a Accor status run earlier this year when rates are crazy cheap.

One IMPORTANT caveat! "You will start earning up to 1 Avios for every Euro spent with Accor on eligible stays AFTER your first stay outside your country of residence or after your first flight with Qatar. I'm lucky enough to be at an Accor in Paris right now, so I'm hoping this works, but that's a BIG catch.

Nooooo..all of this happening when I'm just in the midst of 3 Accor stays with no Accor status and flying business from Aus to Morocco with Qatar (as a plat) . So many missed Accor and Avios

Accor and Flying Blue also have something of a partnership. 2 euros on AFKL flights earns 1 ALL point and 1 euro spent at Accor earns 1 FB mile. The only status benefits are a welcome 10 XP in FB on your first Accor stay after linking and 2 elite nights on your first (paid, I think) AFKL flight after linking.

Wonder if you can double-dip and earn both QR and AFKL miles from Accor?

ALL was rumored to be working on a US credit card last year. They were also rumored to be making a run at IHG.

Unfortunately not possible to link both Flying Blue and Qatar. You need to choose.

Ben, is this live now? I don't see a link to either site. Thanks again :-)

Love Qatar the product but their mobile app and website leave a lot to be desired. Clunky at best.
