Qatar Airways Privilege Club 35% Bonus On Citi ThankYou Points Transfers

Qatar Airways Privilege Club has just launched a lucrative promotion, for points transfers from select bank partners. This has the potential to be quite a good deal, and it can also be an opportunity to earn other “flavors” of Avios at an advantageous rate.

Transfer Citi points to Privilege Club with 35% bonus

Between October 1 and October 31, 2026, Qatar Airways is offering up to a 35% bonus when you convert select bank points to Privilege Club Avios.

The percentage bonus you receive depends on how many points you convert in a single transaction:

• Receive a 15% bonus if you convert up to 49,999 Avios in one transaction
• Receive a 25% bonus if you convert 50,000 to 99,999 Avios in one transaction
• Receive a 35% bonus if you convert 100,000 or more Avios in one transaction

Of the partners, Citi ThankYou is the only major program in the United States that’s eligible for this offer. This bonus is being offered on Qatar Airways’ end, meaning you won’t see the bonus reflected directly with partners when you go to make the transfer. Bonus Avios will post to eligible Privilege Club accounts by November 30, 2026, though hopefully earlier than that (so don’t expect that the bonus will post instantly).

For what it’s worth, we’ve seen transfer bonuses like this several times before, typically once or twice per year. When we do see these bonuses on Privilege Club’s end, the offer is typically for a 25-40% bonus, so this is potentially toward the upper end of that range.

Is this Qatar Airways transfer bonus worth it?

I’d argue that the Qatar Airways Privilege Club program is pretty lucrative nowadays. For one, keep in mind that Qatar Airways uses Avios as its rewards currency, so it’s possible to transfer Avios at a 1:1 ratio between the various programs that earn Avios. That includes Aer Lingus AerClub, British Airways Club, Finnair Plus, and Iberia Plus.

This means that you could use this offer to indirectly convert Citi ThankYou points into British Airways Avios with a 35% bonus as well. That’s something that will no doubt interest some, especially since Citi ThankYou doesn’t partner with some other Avios currencies.

However, there’s also huge value directly with the Qatar Airways Privilege Club program. Privilege Club has decent award pricing on Qatar Airways flights, and also has access to more business class award availability than partner programs (though availability still isn’t great). Privilege Club also has several unique airline partners, ranging from JetBlue, to RwandAir, to Virgin Australia, opening up valuable redemption opportunities.

Bottom line

Through October 31, 2026, Qatar Airways Privilege Club is offering up to a 35% bonus when you transfer Citi ThankYou points. A 35% bonus is pretty significant, so this is an opportunity to get a good deal converting your Citi ThankYou points into Avios with Qatar Airways, British Airways, etc. I’d say there’s definitely merit to making a speculative transfer here.
