The beauty of double elite qualifying miles “season.” With what I have booked at the moment I should have nearly 300,000 elite qualifying miles by the end of the month (counting double EQM’s, which won’t post until later). I’m sure I’ll have some fun stories over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Solid... I think I'm doing about 32871 BIS between now and 6/6.

Will be at 167k EQM for the year by then and still wondering whether i shoot for 200k or 250k. Too bad there's no 225k Elite Choice this year or I'd probably compromise on hitting that if it were worthwhile.

Lucky, do you mind posting your flights?

@ chris -- That's exactly why I love United. Some of the routings I can pull off amaze me, compared to a simple single connection at Delta.

    @ Oliver -- I'm honored, thanks! :D

    @ Ryan -- No comment!

@ fumi -- Yeah, I've done that in international first class as well, and if anything I was more relaxed than when I started traveling. In general, though, my mileage runs are the only time I...

@ Gene -- No, and I'm convinced it was the right decision. Stay tuned on that front.

@ Sam -- Yeah, I decided to skip exams. Who needs them anyway? (In all honesty, I just finished exams on Monday, which is why I'm flying so much at the moment. The beauty of classes finishing up early!)

    @ Sam -- ;)

@ roc -- To be clear, it's 3K with double EQM's, so it's a lot closer to 150,000 flown miles, which isn't *that* bad. I'm doing my best to wash my hands every five minutes and am popping Vitamin C, like, well, no need to compare.

"3K" in just 1/3 or less than half of a year... that projects to a "7K" or "9K" if the miles are credited to the same program. Maybe you're going to use some for the bmi international *G status? BTW, keep hands cleans (especially before eating or touching mouth/nose/eyes) while traveling in the flu time.

any chance UA will give you GS for so many EQMs? Maybe the guy looking at your file will miss the fact that you probably paid less than $2000 for them.

  6. Sam Guest

Don't you have exams right now?

  7. Gene Diamond

Please tell me 100,000 of these EQMs are from AA.

Good luck. I did 43k BIS miles two years ago, but they were all in International F class SQ, OZ, UA. All in a 2 week span like you. I was pretty exhausted after the trip.

  9. Ryan Guest

If they (the BIS) are not in Y, they don't count! :-p

Please change your handle to "crazy". Lucky just doesn't do you justice.

Sounds like fun :-) The positive of UA is that, unlike DL, you can do some strange routing MR's.

The best I've been able to find is MCO-ATL-LAX-RNO-SLC-LAX-MCO (or MCO-JFK-SEA).

Good luck with 40K in 2 weeks, I was wiped doing the above routing (with a redeye) last Saturday.

    @ Joe -- That's the plan!

@ Eric -- I'm about 6' but I'm in first class for almost all the flights (or exit rows at the very least), so space won't be too much of an issue.

Sounds horrible. I hope you're short. I'm 6'6", and that would be living hell for me. :)

    OK, so does that mean you're a 3K ;-)
