Here’s are a couple of pictures of Maui from yesterday evening:

A full review will be coming of the Hyatt Regency Maui. Seven second summary? Great use of “Big Welcome Back” nights, but sure as hell not worth the revenue rates of $400 or so that it would have cost otherwise.

Tonight it’s back to the real world, unfortunately via two redeyes. That’s right, doing a double redeye. First to the west coast, then hopping around the coast all day, and then back to the east coast. Seemed like a great idea when I booked it, but now I’m asking myself why I continue to torture myself. Oh well, it’ll make for a good night of sleep when I finally make it back home. And it’ll also help me cross another threshold for the year at United…

    I've flown a bit over 200,000 "butt in seat" this year. Yeah, my ass hurts.

    Already requalified for 1K, lucky? How many miles have you traveled so far this year, if I can ask such a personal, indiscreet question?

    Being an avid reader of this blog, I'm thinking about abandoning AA for UA seeing how much better 1K's are treated, though being based out of San Francisco means that I'll be in constant competition for UDU on virtually every route, which just isn't the case as an EXP....ho hum...
