I’m about to embark on my first around-the-world trip and wanted to say THANK YOU to Ben and the entire team at One Mile At A Time!

This was the first travel, points and miles blog I discovered, and after I read a few trip reports I was hooked. I started planning a trip around flying first class in the nose of a Cathay Pacific 747 before they disappeared. Unfortunately, they moved up the retirement of the 747 by 6 months and I missed it. Luckily, I was able to book 3 other 747’s: Qantas, Lufthansa, and KLM.

My itinerary includes: Cathay Pacific First Class to Hong Kong (booked with pre-devaluation AA miles), my first A380 flight in Singapore Suites, a Qantas 747 from Tokyo Haneda (hopefully with their legacy 3-cabin configuration) and an Etihad First Apartment.

I would not have dreamed a trip like this was possible before I started reading your blog and learning about the world of points and miles.
