Met the greatest flight attendant ever

Met the greatest flight attendant ever

I was recently flying on SQ26 from SIN-FRA-JFK in J class. I had incredible service throughout the flight on both legs. Waiting to deplane in JFK, I was standing next to the Chief Stewardess and we started chatting. Because of some issue, we did not deplane for a whole ten minutes and in that time we had a fascinating conversation about the service on the flight, principles of hospitality and managing flight crews. I was deeply impressed with her views on leading people and said it would be great to stay in touch.

When I got home, on a whim I thought to do a search on Google, thinking someone must have written about this person I was so impressed by. As it turns out, over 7 years ago, Lucky wrote a post about a flight attendant on a SQ flight from Singapore to Tokyo Narita in first class. There were a couple of other posts after that trip and then nothing ever since.

Well, I found this amazing flight attendant that Lucky so passionately spoke of so many years ago. Janesis Wong Chin is no longer a flight attendant however, she is instead leading flight crews, which should come as no surprise given her dedication to the job. Even though Janesis did not directly serve me, I could sense her positive impact and influence in the service provided by the other flight attendants she was leading, all of whom were so warm, welcoming, and caring.

This is not so much a review then, but a thank you to Janesis, the flight crew on SQ26, and Singapore Airlines which has the best service and staff of any airline I have ever flown.
