KAL First Class vs. Business Class
Lucky,
My best friend and I are flying to Asia on KAL, but before I purchase tickets, have a couple of questions: 1) In your reviews, you’ve noted that the “hard product” is the same, but “soft product” is improved in First; and 2)The two best routes take us from Tampa to either Atlanta, with onwards flight in a 747-8i; or JFK, with onwards flight in the A380-800. I’m not fond of JFK, but wonder which you would choose, and whether upgrading to First would be worthwhile (points used)? Thanks! Eric
Not all KE’s aircraft have First and when they do, it’s not always the same seat (hard product) as business. If you get flights in First on KE’s 77Ws, A380s and 748s, you’d get the bigger, real First class seat.

Thanks for the info. Would u prefer the 380 or the 748, and ATL or JFK?
KEs 748 will have closed door suites in F. And i haven’t been to ATL before. JFK T1 is ok.
Thanks!
