First, business or mixed class?

First, business or mixed class?

    Hello Ben!

I love reading your reports and right now, it’d be really nice to have your opinion on my dilemma.

I’d love to send my parents on an all-expenses paid trip to Europe (from Southeast Asia) for a couple of weeks but I cannot decide if I should splurge on buying them tickets to Emirates’ First Class, Business Class or a mix of both (outbound in First, inbound in Business or the other way round) so that they can experience both.

I’ve read your article saying that you feel more rested in Business than First but since it’s for my parents, I wouldn’t mind putting in a bit more for them to experience First Class for the first time too.

They love flying on Emirates on long-hauls but I really want to treat them to something nice. They wouldn’t spend much on flights because they feel that as long as it gets them to their destination. To them, economy is fine but I really really want them to experience something better especially when they’re getting older. Comfort is always good right? Especially on long flights 🙂

Ughhhh I feel a little torn between the two. Hope you can help me weigh my options.

I’d recommend First for the whole trip – maybe mix airlines? Emirates in one direction, Etihad in the other or something. For Southeast Asia, Cathay Pacific is also a great choice.
