Etihad First Class

Lucky, if you had a choice to fly the 787 or the 777 in first class on Etihad which would you do.

Lucky can answer this better, but the 787 is much newer, but I don’t think the actual seat has changed much, apart from a slightly upgraded decor, front and reverse facing seat options, and the amenities included with the 787.

Great question, Chris, and thanks for chiming in, Alexander!

I’m keen to try the 787 out of curiosity, though it doesn’t actually look like an improved product to me. The 787 cabin is narrower than the 777 and it has the same number of first class suites per row, so my guess is that the suites will feel a bit narrower.

It is interesting that the 787 has both forward and rear facing first class seats, given that it’s just two rows.

I’m hoping to try Etihad’s new 787 first class in the coming months, so hope to have a definitive answer soon!

All,

I am aiming to fly Etihad First Apartment this or next year, that’s my goal….but I am still clueless on some things, hope you can help.
For flight AUH – SIN , there is no 777-300ER or A380 in F class…..all I see is plane type 333, 320, and 332. Are these three types of planes good, compare to at least 777-300ER? And @Lucky , do you have trip report in F class experience in any of these airplanes?

Good day Lucky. I am about to book a Business Class ticket on Qatar Airlines on the A350 business class because of the article you wrote this morning. My question is what city would you go through for the best lounge access on that ticket? JFK, BOS or PHL?
Chris

@Chris Cain, QR does not have its own lounges at any of those airports. Depending on the city it uses the Air France, BA, or AA lounges. I would look at reviews for the lounges and see which one you like most. The lounge listings are at:
