DXB-Bom EK first class worth it?

DXB-Bom EK first class worth it?

I am considering redeeming miles or else purchasing a ticket for EK 500 in F to experience all the glitz and majesty of Emirates that Lucky has described so well. My only question is whether it is worth it for a flight that comes in at just under 3 hours. Will they serve a good dinner? Could I use the shower? Will it have all the normal F amenities etc?

Any advice would be much appreciated,

    Django

Is this in connection with the Latin A to India in Y trip that you posted about earlier?

Are you planning on returning with EK501 in F also? Thing is that 3 hours be a bit short time to both have dinner, shower and possibly hang out in the bar without rushing it regardless of the service level offered DXB-BOM.

That said I have never done DXB-BOM on EK so can’t say definitely what the service level on this flight is.

A big plus for EK500 is of course that you get to experience the EK ground services in DXB including the F terminal/mall/lounge/what ever you want to call it.

Have you considered hoping over to BKK and do the EK BKK-HKG flight instead if you have time? You would miss out on the DXB ground services, but a paid R/T F fare BKK-HKG come out to about the same as a one way DXB-BOM fare and this would give you just under 6 hours in the air.

    Emirates
    EK384

    14:05 BKK Bangkok Suvarnabhumi 3h
    18:05 HKG Hong Kong internasjonal

    Emirates
    EK385

    21:50 HKG Hong Kong internasjonal 2h 55m
    23:45 BKK Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

I know that in BKK is one of the few places EK that don’t offer airport transfer. Not sure what other surprises there might be these days, have not traveled this route recently .

There is no full dine-on-demand service on DXB-BOM, just pre-plated options served in one sitting. I wouldn’t bother spending extra for First over Business on this route, unless of course you are connecting elsewhere in First anyway.
