BA First Class Seats

BA First Class Seats

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello All! I’ve at last managed to book a reward flight using my avios and BA Amex card companion voucher. It was getting urgent as I’m pregnant, so that limits destinations (zika free), travel window to second trimester and an expiring voucher! 🙂

I’ve booked first class return from London to Hong Kong. I’m flying with a friend, and am going out on a 777, back on an A380. I’ve got my pick of seats as first is empty, and have provisionally booked seats 1A and 2A on both the 777 and A380. I’ve only ever flown first solo before, and have gone for 2A or 2K each time. Am wondering if I should release 1A and book 2A and 3A (or K) instead. Any ideas? I’d rather two window seats than middle seats.

I’m also on the look out for any good recommendations for a short, sub 4 hour flight from Hong Kong to somewhere with a gorgeous beach vibe, but safe to travel to whilst preggers.

    Thanks!

    Hello Katherine

Perhaps somebody else can help you with the BA F seats, don’t feel qualified to chime in on this subject since I have never flown F on BA with another person.

As for beach destinations at 4 hours and under from HKG, you would be looking at places with direct flights.

This would mean Thailand, Vietnam and possible the Philippines of the classic beach destinations in South east Asia. Bali would be just over 5 hours.

In Thailand you have direct flights to Bangkok (take a limousine to Hua Hin, about 3 hours), Ko Samui or Phuket.

Vietnam I don’t know much about:
There is a Hyatt Regency in Danang

The Philippines I really don’t know anything about.

But I think a more important question is what time of the year will you travel? Being in the tropics during monsoon season does not lead to a gorgeous beach vibe.

Gosh, all those seats are so private on BA that I’m not sure it matters. You won’t be able to talk to your travel companion if you’re both in window seats, but I haven’t noticed a significant difference between row one and row three.

    Sounds like a lovely trip!

The Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula is out of this world, highly recommended.
