Amtrak Seat Selection – Acela Express First Class

Amtrak Seat Selection – Acela Express First Class

  1. Anonymous Guest

Sorry this is not directly related to aviation, but I’m traveling Acela Express First Class from New York Penn to Baltimore Penn on a morning. Since they’ve opened up seat selection for my train, should I select single seats on left side, or on the right side? Which side has better views (especially NYC) for my route? Thanks!

Havent taken it myself but in that situation I’d prefer the single seat. I’m sure you’re free to move around for better views if the train isnt full.

Traveling southbound, I would sit on the left side as everything will be to that direction. I’ve taken this a few times (never in First), but also never really looked out the window much. But everything will be to your left — NYC skyline, Philly airport, Chesapeake Bay once you hit Maryland, etc.
