American angle flat business seat– how bad is it?

American angle flat business seat– how bad is it?

I keep reading about how bad the American business seat is on the 777 (non ER) planes. Is it really that bad or is it just really that bad when you have the option of flying in a completely lie flat seat? I’m a 5’4″ female– will I have the sliding down the seat issue that lots of the male bloggers mention? Looking at MIA-CDG and CDG-BOS that all have older business class seats. Family of 4 so not an extra 100,000 for first both ways for all. Thanks!

Hi Lori! It’s not that bad. It’s better than coach, certainly, and it’s almost definitely not worth paying for AAnytime awards to get lie-flat seats.
