Should I tip in Singapore Airlines Private Room?

Should I tip in Singapore Airlines Private Room?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hey Lucky I have read your article about tipping in airport lounges and it seemed to focus mostly on US Lounges. I have a Singapore Suites trip coming up and was wondering if tipping is common or expected in the Private Room. Specifically if I eat in the dinning area, I just don’t want to do the wrong thing. Thanks a lot.

Charles–I’ve never been in a lounge where I’ve felt tipping was expected nor have I seen money changing hands. I know living in the US makes people feel uncomfortable not leaving money but in most other places it is not required the same way as it is here. With that said if you want to leave some I doubt anyone will complain other than Japan where I’ve heard it’s a big no-no.

No tip whatsoever. It would be considered positively strange, possibly insulting. Do not do it, you’ll just look a bit silly.
