Heads up: Garuda to drop ANA for JAL

Heads up: Garuda to drop ANA for JAL

Garuda Indonesia just signed a comprehensive agreement with JAL, and are likely to annul the one they currently have with ANA.

From what I gathered, it’s a bit of a quid pro quo situation. JAL needs an excuse to expand into Haneda and tap the business traveler market, and Garuda will have the opportunity to expand into LAX & JFK via NRT

I still dont get how GA intends to make money for operating flights from the US to CGK via NRT. There’s SO MANY one stop options already.
