TripAdvisor deleting negative reviews, but not positive ones

TripAdvisor deleting negative reviews, but not positive ones

  1. Anonymous

this summer my wife and I visited Tuscany and stayed at 2 agriturismos owned by the same family winery. I reviewed both properties on TripAdvisor, one review was very positive, the other not so. Both reviews were posted, but recently the negative review has disappeared, but the positive review of the sister property is still posted.

Do TripAdvisor reviews get deleted if a hotel is not happy with the review?

I’ve had pretty good experience with TripAdvisor customer service – it’s probably worth asking them directly why one was deleted.

My only thought is they couldn’t independently verify you actually stayed at the second property (for whatever reason), so reaching out to TripAdvisor would probably help anyways.
