SPG QS earning on multiple rooms

With current SPG program, members can earn QS/QN up to 3 rooms per night. However, we will earn QS/QN for 1 room only with new Marriott program. As we can still earn elite status with current SPG program until end of this year, I am confuse how long current SPG`s QS/QN on multiple room policy will last. Will it be continued until end of this year? If so, will it be counted for current SPG`s elite qualifications only or counted for new Marriott`s qualification as well?
