SPG on Langkawi

SPG on Langkawi

  1. Anonymous Guest

I’m planning a rewards trip to Vietnam and Malaysia in May. I have the airfare redemptions lined up, so I’m working on the ground piece.

We want to visit Langkawi. We are a married couple with a <2yr old son. The Andaman (luxury collection) looks like a perfect spot for us, especially because we'll be spending time in some huge chaotic cities before and after.

Just curious what bennies to expect via gold spg status, and if it's the best value spg property on the island. I realize that it's secluded, etc., but that's more of a + than a - for me.

Looking to redeem 5 nights for 4 there or at another spg property. Thanks!

    Hey Grant,

SPG doesn’t provide much in the way of benefits to gold members in general, and I wouldn’t expect Langkawi to be any different. I really liked the Andaman though, and while it’s not as fancy as the St Regis, there’s something quite special about being in the middle of an ancient rainforest.
