Question about Hyatt DSU

Question about Hyatt DSU

  1. Luis Diamond

If I book a flexible Hyatt rate and apply a DSU, would I be able to cancel that reservation later if the price drops and rebook the same room and have the DSU applied? I guess what I’m trying to ask is, given that DSU’s can only be confirmed if there are suites actually available, would this be a way to “reserve” a suite in advance in case price drops closer to the reservation date?

  2. Gaurav Community Ambassador

@Luis my assumption would be that since you are creating a new reservation, you will need to go through the process of re-requesting the DSU. Hopefully an agent will be able to see the approved DSU and switch it but I can’t say for sure how this would work in practice. Make sure you share with us if you go through with this.
