Lucky, my wife and I are 4 nights into a 5 night stay here on points and this is our second time here, the first was 2 years ago in April. I remember seeing your post about this property becoming more family friendly. It’s gotten worse now with the families ( and people with pets) taking over the property. Our kids are grown and we don’t typically travel when the kids are out of school and shy away from kid friendly destinations. Obviously the week after Christmas is a bad time to be here and we won’t come here again. It’s too bad because the property is very beautiful and really not suited for kids. They have taken over the pool and only jacuzzi and you hear them running in the halls at night. We would never had considered bringing our children to an expensive property when they were little. We are SPG Platinum members and only get a continental breakfast (pastries and coffee and juice, but no fruit) now versus the $20 voucher two years ago. Obviously the young parents today can afford $800 rooms and $18 oatmeal at breakfast. I understand you think the Parker may pull out of the Starwood program and I can see why, they really don’t want to cater to us point junkies. Any comments would be appreciated, thank you for your blog.
