I am a first time single female executive traveler to Dubai stopping for 2-3 days in Dubai going to/coming from S. Africa. I prefer small luxury hotels or concierge level in chains to avoid feeling like I am attending a convention and I am not a overly experienced international traveler. I don’t have points/hotel status and this is a personal trip. I read the Dubai Grosvenor House and Park Hyatt Hotel reviews-properties seem underwhelming. Your thoughts and recommendations? My best. Thank you.

There is a lack of small luxury hotels in Dubai, personally I prefer the anonymity of a larger hotel in Dubai so I have no experience with these hotel.

First that comes to mind is Residence & Spa at One&Only Royal Mirage which is 50 room private area at the One&Only.

There is also The Address Montgomerie Dubai which is a small 21 room golf hotel a bit outside the center. But reviews are more mixed.

We have stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Dubai. Great location, the best concierge lounge experience and fairly affordable. We did the same did 5 nights after a trip to Durban SA. A great way to relax before the long trip home. Have a great time!
