Award Booking (Hyatt)
hello,
With regards to the Hyatt award reservation, I noticed that Grand Hyatt HK has placed a pre requisite of 2 nights booking over the New Year’s Eve period.
As I only want the night on NYE, may I ask if it’s possible to make an argument based on the no blackout dates for HGP night awards as its obvious that the rooms are available on the day I want it but it wouldn’t show as the prerequisite is in place.
Thank you
I feel like requiring 2 nights is separate from no award availability or blackout dates and an argument might not be valid, especially since its NYE.
Have you tried to book the night via a phone call to Hyatt?
Minimum stays over periods of peak demand are typically at hotel discretion, and a bit different. They’d happily let you book two nights using points, is my guess.
Thanks guys for the response.
I forgot to add in the point that a revenue booking for NYE alone is possible for the other room types, the standard room just doesn’t show as it is selling the rooms with a view.
But as previously mentioned, the base room will show if 2 nights are entered.
In this scenario, it’ll seem more like a blackout for awards only?
