Is there a “best time” to book International Flights?

Is there a “best time” to book International Flights?

There are countless articles about buying domestic flights, usually on a Tuesday around Midnight – is there a “best time” for International flights? Is it the same? Is it all a myth?

Can’t say for sure though Orbitz is touting next week as the best time to buy holiday travel. Seems like I saw other tweets this week indicating Tuesdays at 3 ET were the best time to buy.

I use yapta.com to notify me when prices drop and have gotten a couple of good deals that way. I do recall one time that a fare I was watching would drop for a couple of hours each week on Tuesdays just after lunchtime CT. I couldn’t snag it the first time I saw the alert but jumped on it the next week.
