Etihad’s website – not flexible?
Quick question about Etihad since I see that you have traveled extensively on the airline.
I have purchased a business class ticket from Entebbe (Uganda) to London Heathrow and back from my travel agent.
I find it strange that the airline’s website does not allow you to manage bookings online if the ticket has not been purchased from Etihad’s website. I asked my travel agent and even spoke to the airline office directly and they both mentioned that changes (in my case – seat selection, upgrade options etc.) to any ticket bought from a travel agent can only be done by the travel agent or airline office and not online.
This is my first trip on Etihad and have previously been frequently flying Emirates, Qatar ,BA and they all provide and allow for “manage your booking” on their websites.
Have you experienced similar issues? I will be grateful for any feedback and advise received.
