i get any numbers of ads on my FB page from companies offering discounted business class tickets; I’m wondering if anyone has used them and what your experiences were

I contacted about 12 of them 2-3 years ago looking for cheap tickets from the US to Europe. The majority of them offered tickets by transferring points to a newly opened account under the name of the prospective passenger. When I researched this further, I found out that it is technically illegal (selling/bartering of points), and if the airline finds out, they will cancel the ticket and you also forfeit all those points. I did use one of these companies though, that is when they got me a revenue ticket (I checked it with the airline first before paying for it). That ticket worked out well. In my experience, the price they offer is NOT cheaper than what you get if you simply do a search on ITA Matrix or Skyscanner (my personal favorite because you can link to the selling agents’ website from there).
