Anonymous GuestI have about 85K AAdvantage miles. I had been thinking strongly about a Cancun trip redemption for my girlfriend and me. Should I try to use up these miles sooner than later? I guess the Alaska devaluation has me a little rattled.
I primarily redeem miles for expensive domestic routes as my vacation time and budget generally restricts a more “aspirational” award.

@EJB you should use them if it makes sense and you are getting a good value for your miles. Of course there are no guarantees but I wouldn’t worry about an AA devaluation in the near-medium term future.
