Will new owners honor award stay?

Will new owners honor award stay?

I read in FlyerTalk today that the Hilton Copenhagen Airport is being rebranded to a Scandic Hotel in April. There was a link to an article in Danish that seemed to say the same thing. I have an award stay already booked there in June. As of right now, you can still make reservations on the Hilton website for this hotel in June. Has anyone ever experienced this? Will the hotel honor an awards stay if it is no longer a Hilton? I am going to call Hilton in the next week or so to verify.

Usually this varies on a case by case basis. From past reports I’ve heard of hotels honoring existing bookings but you may run into trouble if you have to make any changes.

I would email the hotel directly to confirm your stay.

Agreed, after the transition is complete.

I would email now and mention that it is after the transition and save the email.

Thank you Brad and Gaurav for the advice.
