WiFi

    Hi lucky

You always say things like, “oh the wifi for the flight was $xx dollars and it’s a good deal.”

For many non travelers, we spend maybe $40-50 per month on internet. So even if I’m taking a 16hour flight, $10 dollars is like 25% of what I normally spend for internet access. For me, all plane wifi charges are expensive.

So I’m curious… How much do you spend a year on wifi? Granted you do this for your business and can write off costs but I’m still curious.

    Thanks!

Hi! I think the assumption when we say wifi is a “good deal” is for business travelers who need to work, or others who can justify the expense given the improved productivity. $10 for functioning wifi on a 16 hour flight is less than $1/hr, so well worth it in those cases.

Agree that it doesn’t really make sense for people just wanting to check social media or whatever. 🙂
