Where to Credit BA Miles?

Where to Credit BA Miles?

  1. Anonymous Guest

I usually fly Star Alliance and have most of my miles with United. I just took advantage of the BA business class sale and booked a JFK-LHR return. Right now, I believe the miles are being credited to BA Executive Club. Should I leave it as is or make a switch? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello Nancy.

Do you have any miles in a Oneworld FF program from earlier flights or are you starting from scratch?

BA’s FF program is in general good for short haul awards, upgrades on BA own flight from J to F or Premium Economy to J and as a easy way to earn Oneworld status. Not good for long haul awards due to a distance based award chart and fuel surcharges.

For long haul award flights your best choice is probably crediting to AA, but status is harder to earn here.

What is best for you ultimately depends on what you plan to use the miles you earn for.
