I would like to start taking advantage of frequent flyer miles and hotel upgrades…I will be retiring in 4 to 5 years and would like to have an advantage so that I can travel a lot when I retire. With that said, where do I begin? What credit card is the most utilitarian for my purposes? Usually, I just pay cash. However, I am travelling to Shanghai and Thailand this summer. How do I make the most of my plans and future travel?

Hi jointpain, there is a lot to learn but I’d head over the Start Here section at the top of the page and start reading. Unfortunately there are no silver bullets in this hobby. What you should get will depend on what your goals are.
