    Hi Lucky, Tiffany and Team,

I currently have built up both AA miles as well as Citi Thank You points. Do you have a general strategy or airline that has the best availability from the US to Australia? I know that Cathay Pacific availability won’t show up on AA.com and may be a possibility, and Singapore routed through SIN could work as well, but I was curious if you had any recommended airlines to look for based on what program I have saved up miles for. I am attempting to look at a year in advance, so basically right when the schedule opens up in the coming weeks.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Just be aware that using AA miles to route via Asia will mean you’ll need two awards.

You can log into BA.com and check the availability for Qantas (QF) flights there. BA & QF open up their calendars for award bookings a couple of weeks before AA does. But at least you can keep an eye on what routes might have a seat available.
