I was researching Bellevue, WA, and came across your 2012 article about your move from Tampa. I’m a Florida native who has lived in Tampa since 2012 (to attend USF).
My parents also live in Florida and I also have the guilt of “leaving” them and the fear of not making new friends. I’m 27 now, so I’m not “right out of college,” where it might be easier to meet new people, but I like to get involved with local Tampa groups (improv, sports, etc) and would think Bellevue would have similar opportunities.
I am looking at cities with more walking, biking, and public transit options, as well as outdoor activities in general.
In short, was the FL to WA move worth it? Thanks so much!
