Virgin Atlantic to Hilton now 1:1?

Virgin Atlantic to Hilton now 1:1?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Just checked the VA site
    http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/frequentflyer/fcpartners/hotels/hiltonfamilyhotels.jsp

    and saw this:
Is this an error or a new devaluation to Hilton? I thought it was 2:3? Anyone?

Flying Club members can exchange their miles for HHonors points which can then be redeemed for HHonors rewards such as free hotel nights, experimental rewards, premium merchandise and much much more.

Exchange miles at a rate: 1 Flying Club mile for 1 HHonors point.

Minimum Level: 10,000 miles and then in increments of 5,000. Just call the Flying Club Helpline with your HHonors account number.

*Please note your name on your Flying Club membership account must match exactly with the name on your Hilton HHonors account for a successful transfer. Your transfer will take up to 30 days and a booking cannot be made until the transfer is complete.

@Kent C — Interesting! Can I ask how you got to that page? Navigating the VS site I see something completely different…

Tiffany, I initially went to the home page of VA but couldn’t find a page detailing miles to points only points to miles and general info on their hotel partners. So went to Google.com and searched on VA miles to points or something like that. Then the link popped up that I indicated. Hopefully it’s an old link and should have been removed by VA. Do you have a link to an existing page showing 2:3?

What is the VS site you were navigating? Is that another domain for VA cause the only VS site I know of is one that sells lingerie. 😉

@Kent C — Ha! VA is the airline code for Virgin Australia, VS is the IATA code for Virgin Atlantic. Virgin America is VX, just to make it nice and confusing.

The link I found was here: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/us/en/flying-club/flying-club-partners/hotels/hilton-worldwide.html

The 2:3 rate was confirmed by two VS reps this morning, so that other link is even more of a mystery.

Thanks Tiffany. Shows you I know nothing about IATA Codes and where my mind was. The link you provided was the page I first went to but couldn’t find any reference for VS to Hilton. Finally found it in the Spend Tab. I guess the other page is an outdated link. Thanks for verifying with VS reps!!
