Using Alaskan Airlines Mileage Plan for Qantas flights SIN-MEL

Using Alaskan Airlines Mileage Plan for Qantas flights SIN-MEL

    Hi,

Am thinking of purchasing Alaskan Airlines miles to take advantage of the promotion going on right now. I would like to know if anyone has the experience of redeeming a flight for between Singapore and Melbourne, Australia? I can only get information on people getting flights on Qantas for between Australia and the US.

Welcome @jules.t26 – before buying anything check to see if Alaska even allows you to use miles on that route. Though I can’t remember it off the top of my head I know they have some rules about only allowing you to redeem miles on routes within or to/from the US. Wouldn’t want you to buy miles you don’t need.

Alaska doesnt allow you to redeem for SIN-MEL using Qantas. AS allows for awards on Cathay from most regions to/from Hong Kong and then you can book a separate award for Hong Kong to other parts of Asia, on Cathay or JAL.
