United Airlines US-SouthAf?

United Airlines US-SouthAf?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello, OMAAT readers,

Right now, only Delta and SAA offer direct flights between the US and South Africa, but I think United can still get a chunk of that market share as well using 787s from either Newark or Dulles, but why haven’t they? Is there some sort of bilateral agreement which limits only one carrier from each country are allowed to operate direct flights between the two? If not, how come United hasn’t at all planned to start flying there?

    Thanks

UA just dropped IAH to Lagos served by a 787 a couple months ago.

Maybe if SAA collapses they would fly from EWR-JNB to fill the gap
