SKH New MemberI’d like to know what the best way is to utilize my cash & UA mileage points for booking & upgrades. I’m trying to book a return flight to Manila from San Diego for October on Premium Economy class on either UA website (paying for flight ~$1500 using my Explorer card & using mileage (have 110K) for potential upgrade to business class – seems to be on a wait list parade as I’m not a Premier member) or ANA website (again paying outright for the fare ~$1500 using my Chase Sapphire Preferred card & using UA mileage to upgrade the NRT to MNL leg from economy to business). I’d like to know which option is the better one. Will I even get an upgrade to business if I go with the UA option and put my name on the wait list? Appreciate anyone’s help as I’d like to book this flight soon.
