UA F or EVA J

UA F or EVA J

Coming home from TPE would you choose UA F through SFO on a 747 or EVA J direct to IAH? IAH is home.

Is the EVA flight operated on a Hello Kitty day? Because that would tip the scales for me…

Tough call. Just flew both two weeks ago. If you want sleep UA is pretty good with new Polaris product and there is something about flying on the 747. EVA however is an impressive airline. EVA switching Hello Kitty to Chicago in May, here is the schedule. United PJ’s are better than EVA.

    And my opinions
    United

Personally, I’d choose EVA hands down in your situation, only because it is non-stop. All things being equal, take the 13.5 hour non-stop with a lie flat seat the whole way… and skip the 10.5 hour with a lie flat seat, then connect to a recliner seat for another 3.5.

Only thing that could change it for me would be if you’ve never flown international First, and want to experience that.

I would choose UA F, for no other reason than you get to fly in the nose of a 747 which are disappearing fast, go on the 777 next time but fly the Queen of the Skies while you still can. UA has upped their game with Polaris and it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot.

I’m with @rickyw, direct wins for me.

I’m not sure why this is even a question. Eva is non-stop, will have better service, not have to deal with rude FAs that don’t care about their jobs or customers, better food, better champagne, oh and it’s non stop.

@Luis, you make some good points, but don’t be so hard on the FA’s. The ones I had the other day were great. And the champagne was good too!

I’d probably tip toward UA F because it’s in the nose of the 747….Otherwise, I’d take the direct on EVA
