Transiting CMB

Transiting CMB

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello –

I have an incoming flight on Malaysia airlines into CMB and on a separate ticket (within a few hours) on Qatar airways to the US. If I only have hand baggage, is it possible to get a boarding pass for my Qatar fight in transit without going through immigration or should I be on the safe side and apply for an ETA? If so, can I even apply for an ETA for just a few hours in CMB as I’ll be going through immigration and checking in again?

    Thank you!

I would think you can avoid wondering how to get your boarding pass by checking in online with Qatar Airways so you already have your boarding pass before you even land at CMB. You can probably also ask Malaysia Airlines to connect your two itineraries and check you in for both at your origin since they are both oneworld and should be able to do that… Even if you can’t get your boarding pass beforehand I would imagine that as long as you have your Qatar itinerary and are hand luggage only I’m sure there’s a process for connecting at CMB that doesn’t involve going thru immigration

We were able to do this (separate itineraries coming in on UL and flying out on CX). One of the ladies at the transfer/support desk took our information and passports and went out and came back with the boarding passes.
